So what is the studio working on? Guess we’ll have to wait and see. Oh, man! Can’t we ever get good news from you guys? Why are you letting Marvel steal the show? Superman is obviously what most fans want you to work on. And some fans were very vocal in their displeasure of the reveal: So having Rocksteady make one? Yeah, that would’ve been a game-changer.

In fact, his best showing in video games at all is in the Injustice series, where he played a villain most of the time. This is sad in its own right, Superman hasn’t had a good solo game in…well…ever. Reports indicate Rocksteady's game will instead be a live. So if he says they’re not doing a Superman game…they’re not doing a Superman game. Way back in 2018, studio co-founder and creative director Sefton Hill officially confirmed Rocksteady isn't making a Superman game. In case you were wondering, that was from Sefton Hill, who is the co-founder of the studio. When it’s ready to show, you’ll be the first to know. Spoiler: it’s not Superman Looking forward to # TheGameAwards this year! We’re still hard at work in our development bunker so don’t expect an announcement from Rocksteadygames. Past rumors say Superman is the focus, but nothing.
Is rocksteady making a superman game series#
Well, Rocksteady has officially spoken out on this, and the answer won’t be to many people’s liking: We know Rocksteady, the team responsible for the excellent Batman Arkham series (except for Arkham Knight on PC), is working on a brand new game. Including being rumored to be a “reveal” for The Game Awards next week. So prevalent is this rumor that it has sprung up again and again. The team at Rocksteady have been silent over the last few years in regards to the games that they are making, and one of the biggest rumors going around is that they are making a Superman game.

But some of the rumors are without a doubt more popular than others, which can be proven by the fact that they continue to pop up despite no true basis being applied to them. Rumors in the video game industry are as numerous as the games on the store shelves. One of the rumors questioned if maybe this isnt a Superman game made in the same vein as Rocksteadys Batman: Arkham titles, but it could be a sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us.
